It’s that time for Apple Crisp!
It seems like fall is going by way too fast this year! I haven’t gotten a chance to go apple picking – or even pumpkin picking! But – to not miss all of the fall time activities I picked up some local apples from the regional farmers market to make my beloved apple crisp. There are thousands of different recipes floating around out there – but I always like to mix it up a bit, so this year instead of using plain ol’ oats, I used Mu Mu Muesli!
Mu Mu Muesli is a great local product that I usually pick up at the farmers market. It’s a great alternative to using those over processed oats – Mu Mu Muesli has oats, dates, almonds, and much more – and usually I eat it like cereal or with yogurt… until today!
Anyways – here’s the recipe – and I encourage you to share yours with us as well!
- 4 large apples
- 2/3 cups of brown sugar
- 1/2 cup of Mu Mu Muesli
- 3/4 teaspoons of cinnomon
- 3/4 teaspoons of nutmeg
- 1/2 cup of flour
- 1/3 cup of melted butter
Pre heat oven to 350 degrees. Cut and dice the apples and put them in a greased pan. Mix brown sugar, Mu Mu Muesli, cinnamon, nutmeg, flour and melted butter in a medium sized bowl. Evenly distribute over the apples. Bake for at least 30 minutes in oven. Let cool and enjoy!
